7. Variations On A Theme™ — Is there an Idea rolling around your head that just won’t let go until you do something with it? Develop a plan and begin work on a distinctive series of original wall hangings or one involving several panels around that persistent theme or focus. Choose a single motif that you repeat in each work in your series OR while maintaining your theme, use similar, yet different motifs in each new work. Create your focal point(s) by painting, printing, stitching, etc., or find your focus in a commercial, upholstery or glitzy fabric, from disassembled clothing, etc. Then go to town on the innovative variations on your theme.
